PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

**PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY/COMMITMENTS**

**Patron Rules and Agreements Prior to Entry**

Parental Acknowledgement, Consent & Responsibility

By purchasing a ticket and ticking the consent box, I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian of the attendee and that I consent to my child attending a Rev Discos event.

I acknowledge that this consent forms part of a legally binding agreement between myself and Rev Discos at the time of ticket purchase.

Event Conditions & Supervision

Rev Discos events are supervised youth discos operated in accordance with published safety, safeguarding, and behavioural policies, which are available on the Rev Discos website and communicated prior to each event.

While Rev Discos takes reasonable and proportionate measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of attendees, it is not possible to eliminate all risks associated with group events, loud music, crowds, and movement.

Parental Responsibility

As a parent or guardian, I remain responsible for:

  • My child’s conduct and behaviour before, during, and after the event
  • Ensuring my child arrives at the venue fit to attend
  • Making and supervising appropriate travel arrangements to and from the venue

I confirm that I will be contactable by mobile phone for the duration of the event and available to collect my child if requested by Rev Discos staff, security, or the Duty of Care team.

Alcohol, Drugs & Vaping

All Rev Discos events are strictly alcohol-free, drug-free, and vape-free.

Rev Discos may take reasonable steps to enforce this policy, including searches, CCTV monitoring, and breathalyser testing where appropriate.

Any attendee suspected of being under the influence may be removed from the event. Parents or guardians will be contacted, and further action may be taken in line with applicable law.

Behaviour & Zero-Tolerance Policy

Rev Discos operates a zero-tolerance policy in respect of:

  • Violence or threats of violence
  • Bullying, harassment, or intimidation
  • Racism or discrimination
  • Dangerous or disruptive behaviour

Rev Discos reserves the right to remove any attendee whose behaviour breaches these standards and, where appropriate, to refuse future entry.

Assaults & Incidents

While reasonable supervision and security are in place, Rev Discos cannot guarantee the prevention of all incidents.

Any alleged assault or serious incident will be managed in line with Rev Discos safeguarding procedures and may be referred to An Garda Síochána where appropriate.

Safety & Assumption of Risk

Discos involve loud music, lighting effects, crowds, and movement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, attendees voluntarily accept these conditions and must take reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of others.

Dress, Property & Venue Care

I confirm that I have approved my child’s attire.

Rev Discos is not responsible for the loss of or damage to personal belongings.

Parents or guardians accept responsibility for any damage caused by their child to the venue or its property.

Photography, Video & Social Media

Photography and videography may take place for event and marketing purposes.

Separate parental consent is required for interviews or social-media-focused content. Attendees may withdraw consent at any time, and Rev Discos will act promptly on any request to remove content from its platforms.

Safeguarding & Reporting Obligations

Rev Discos operates safeguarding procedures in line with Irish child protection standards.

Where required by law, concerns may be reported to Tusla – Child and Family Agency or other relevant authorities.

Venue & Liability Clarification

Event venues are hired locations only and are not responsible for the operation, supervision, or management of Rev Discos events.

All queries, concerns, or complaints must be directed to Rev Discos.

Final Acknowledgement

By purchasing a ticket, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to the above conditions.

Failure to comply with these terms may result in refusal of entry, removal from the event, or exclusion from future events.

I have confirmed with my child that they are expected to display their best behavior.
I understand that this event is required by law to be alcohol-free and drug-free. I agree that the event organizers and supervisors may take all reasonable steps, including the use of CCTV and random breathalyzer tests, to maintain this standard. I accept that any attendee deemed to be under the influence will be removed from the event without a refund, and I will be contacted. If I cannot be reached, my child is aware that the Gardaí will be notified.
I have advised my child that if they experience bullying, assault, unwanted physical contact, mockery, or any behavior that makes them feel uncomfortable, they must inform security or staff immediately. Due to the loud music and the dark, crowded environment, security may not see such incidents happening.
I have instructed my child to be mindful of the dos and don’ts, and to behave as they would at home. This includes:

Occupiers’ Liability & Visitor Responsibility

In accordance with the Occupiers’ Liability Act 1995, as amended in 2023, attendees are considered visitors to the premises and are expected to take reasonable care for their own safety.

Attendees are required to:

  • Observe all safety signage and instructions
  • Follow directions from security, staff, and the Duty of Care team
  • Avoid behaviour that could place themselves or others at risk

Rev Discos and venue management take reasonable and proportionate steps to maintain a safe environment; however, visitors are expected to act responsibly and cooperatively while attending the event.

Health and safety will be regularly monitored by Rev Discos and documented through risk assessments.
